OUR STORY
ReFramed makes one product — and we've spent five years getting it right.
Founded in 2021, ReFramed was born out of frustration. We couldn't find a bed frame that felt like it was designed for the way people actually live. So we set out to make one.
We started with the TR Bed, designed with London-based Tim Rundle — a bold aluminium bed frame that proved great design could be flat-packed, durable, and easy to assemble. It was our proof of concept: that the furniture industry's old model was broken, and a better one was possible.
Then came the MC-1 Bed, designed by Swiss industrial designer Michel Charlot. Simple, incredibly strong, and more accessibly priced — the MC-1 is the bed we built ReFramed around. It's a steel bed frame engineered to last, and we believe it's destined to become a future design classic.
Today, the MC-1 is our focus. One product, no distractions, everything we've got.

The furniture industry is crowded with brands that feel disconnected from real life. Design has become exclusive — luxury for the few, with products that feel untouchable.
We're here to flip that.
Our mission is to make great design accessible. Design that fits your life — not just a showroom. We sell online and through a curated network of retail partners across Europe and the US — one partner per region, chosen carefully. We're inclusive, in stock, and fully transparent.
We tell the stories of our community and create products that solve real problems — not copy what's already out there or chase trends. Sustainability isn't an afterthought — it's built into everything we do. But at our core, it's the love of design that drives us.
Five years in, we've served well over 1,000 customers across Europe — almost entirely self-funded. We're now expanding into the US through Design Within Reach.

Designed for the state of the world
Furniture delivery can be a pain, we get it. While most brands ship from halfway across the world or make you wait weeks for a custom piece, we keep it local. Our bed frames are made in Europe, warehoused in Denmark, and delivered straight to your door. Whether you're on the ground floor or living on the fourth — no curbside drop-offs, and no heavy lifting.
We do our best to keep our beds in stock, aiming to dispatch within 24 hours. Have questions about delivery times? We're always here to help.
Ethos
Great products don't happen overnight. They take years of testing, tweaking, and getting it right.
We keep our collection intentionally small. One bed frame, refined obsessively, designed with absolute intent. If it's not better than what's already out there, we don't launch it. Simple as that.
Every ReFramed piece is built in close collaboration with factories we trust — real partners, not just suppliers. We work with makers in Denmark, Sweden, Latvia, Hungary, and Poland. Close to home, close to our warehouse, close to the process.
That means better quality, faster feedback, and lower CO₂ emissions.
Sustainability
The MC-1 Bed is made from powder-coated steel — a material chosen for strength, longevity, and simplicity. Steel is one of the most widely recycled materials on earth, and a bed frame built to last decades is, in itself, a sustainability statement.
The TR Bed Frame is made from 82% post-consumer recycled aluminium, coming in at just 42 kg of CO₂. We're proud of that.
We don't chase hype materials for the sake of a tagline. Our philosophy is simple: make products that last and don't need replacing. Sometimes that means using recycled materials. Other times, it means sticking to classic methods that have stood the test of time. Sustainability is a balance — and we're here to get it right, not just make it sound good.
