The MC-1 is now available in the United States, exclusively through Design Within Reach. To mark the occasion, we went to Brooklyn and photographed three bedrooms — three new chapters of In My Room, our ongoing portrait series of the people who sleep in our bed.
For Kai, the bedroom is the heart of the home — intimate, private, and sacred. Designed as a place to decompress, it’s warm and minimal, with carefully chosen objects that carry both function and memory.
For Usen, the bedroom is a space for solitude, reflection, and rest. Filled with light, carefully chosen objects, and personal memories, it reflects the rhythms of his life, from late-night ideas to quiet mornings with birdsong.
