At ReFramed we want to change the role design plays in people's lives. We want to make design accessible, beautiful, easy to ship and assemble in minutes.

Our story

ReFramed was born in 2020 as we could not find a bed frame we admired, so we teamed up with the London-based designer, Tim Rundle, to create a bed frame that was durable, easy to ship and assemble while still being bold in the design.

We know that furniture is complicated to have delivered and the wait for it can be really frustrating. We’re different. Whilst, the majority of products are either made in the far east or made to order, our products are both produced and warehoused in Denmark.

In fact, we fit 72 beds on one pallet which makes storing our frames very easy, and it also enables us to ship the product straight to your door with GLS or UPS. It doesn’t matter if you live on the ground floor or fourth floor in your city the courier will be able to bring it straight to your door.

As a new design company we try our very best to always be in stock and to dispatch your order within 24 hours of receiving it. Should you have any questions about lead-times please do not hesitate to reach out.

So, no more waiting at home for a curbside delivery with 4 friends to carry up your new bed.

Made in denmark

Our bed frames are produced by industry leader Norsk Hydro, whose clientele includes Rolls Royce and HAY in Denmark. First extruded in Vetlanda, Sweden, the frames are made of Hydro Circal aluminum-comprising 82% post-consumer recycled material. Your bed isn't merely production scrap; it's repurposed from old car parts and other aluminum items recycled at Hydro's Norwegian facility.

Post-extrusion, the components are sent to our Hydro facility in Thisted, Denmark. There, they're machined, powder-coated, and packaged before moving to our warehouse for shipment.

sustainability

For us, sustainability isn't an afterthought-it's our driving principle. Every decision we make considers its environmental impact, which is why a standard king-size 160-bed emits just 46kg of CO2-equivalent to 82 cups of coffee or 4.5 steaks.

We're committed to transformative design that's not just beautiful but functional. Built for longevity, our furniture is easy to assemble, disassemble, and relocate.

Our recyclable materials ensure it can be reused over and over again.

founders note

At ReFramed we believe good design can positively impact lives. We've identified a gap between consumer desires and what the designer furniture market offers.

The furniture world is saturated with design brands disconnected from the real world. Design has become too exclusive and inaccessible, with products from the worlds finest designers stuck with brands that don’t resonate with everyday life.

Historically, designer brands follow the same playbook, but we want to challenge that. Our goal is to make great design truly accessible to a wider audience because we believe design deserves a bigger role in people’s lives. We achieve this by being direct-to-consumer, inclusive, in-stock, and transparent. We tell meaningful stories about our community and introduce products that solve real problems, unlike the norm of making products that merely replicate successful designs from other brands.

We believe sustainability is essential for any new brand, and we've strived to challenge the norms of sustainability in furniture on many levels. However, it is our passion for design that truly drives us.

2,5 years later, we have served more than 600 customers across 21 different European countries while remaining almost entirely self-funded. We are incredibly thankful for every one of you who has purchased from us, considered buying from us, followed us, or recommended us to your friends.
